Capital City of Bangladesh, where Virginia's sister is currently living and working, as an Australian Youth Ambassador for Development
Feb 11th Kathmandu, Nepal
After difficulties getting an Indian Visa in the time we had, and realising that we'd spend more than half our time on overnight trains, we decided to settle for the Himalayas in Nepal. Tough life hey?!?
Feb 12th to 15th Pokhara, Nepal
This is a lovely lakeside town in the hills of Nepal, with views of the Himalayas, the Annapurna range
Feb 15th to 17th Kathmandu, Nepal
A few days in this busy touristy city, before we head back to Bangladesh
Feb 17th to 18th Dhaka to Khulna
An overnight train to Khulna with Virginia's sister Alison and a few of her friends.
Feb 19th to 22nd Sunderbans
River Trip through the Sunderbans, the mangrove filled estuarine area that meets the Bay of Bengal with Alison and a few of her friends.
Feb 23rd - 25th Dhaka to Srimongal
A few days in an eco-cottage in one of the tea plantation areas of Bangladesh
Feb 26th - 28th Dhaka
Last few days with Ally, and a visit to Old Dhaka.
Feb 28th Dhaka to Bangkok
Exciting 8 hr stopover in an airport.
March 1st Bangkok to Melbourne
Home again, and back to our exciting and less dangerous lives. (perhaps?)
